PB is very well designed, and most of all very useful for me. I have set it to work with other soft synths, connected with midi loopback and it works very well together.
Except that the metronome note (F#) is sent as a standard note and then hits the soft synth, which creates chaos hamony...
A good option would be to mute the tempo note, or to sent it to another midi channel.
